Metropolis is alcohol-free and welcomes patrons of all ages. For the
past 10 years the Cafe has presented a wide range of music from local
musicians to bands from more than15 different countries. We

Metropolis' street address is 94 South Main Street but the

across from Wilkes-Barre Movies 14.

Unless
otherwise indicated on the main page, the doors open at 7PM
and the shows start at 8PM. The shows end by 11PM and we close
at midnight. For weekday shows we usually open at 6:30PM and
the shows start at 7PM. The
average admission price is $7. Certain shows will cost more
but we seldom charge more than $10.
We do not sell advance tickets.
However for certain shows we occasionally sell tickets
the day of the show. Please consult the main page for details.

Booking
Please
contact Matt Zavacky for booking info:

Include a link to your music online and please be patient,
we receive a lot of requests for shows. If you have already
contacted us and have not heard back in a few weeks feel free
to contact us again. Likewise, if you have played here in
the past and we have not heard from you in a while, drop us
a line. We do not ask bands to sell tickets to shows. In general, the Cafe needs an average of $100 from each show to pay our bills and remain open. Please understand that we will make every effort to compensate local and touring bands to the best of our abilities. The Cafe does not make a profit and usually operates at a loss in any given month.
In
consideration of our neighbors and our relationship with the
Wilkes-Barre Police Department, we would prefer you didn't loiter in
the vicinity of the Cafe. This creates a lot of problems. Be
Kind, Please Don't Stagedive. It's rude, you look like an idiot doing it, and usually land
on someone a lot smaller. Be considerate.
